This plush toy wall transcends the boundaries of traditional decoration; it is a dialogue about softness and hardness, innocence and maturity, privacy and openness. The wall is no longer a cold boundary separating space, but a carrier of memories connecting emotions.
Design Concept: A Narrative from Two-Dimensional to Three-Dimensional
Modular Ecosystem
We designed dozens of basic modules—from classic teddy bears to abstract biological forms, from subtle geometric shapes to organic flowing lines. Each module can exist independently, yet perfectly integrate with other modules, creating infinitely possible combinations.
Material Dialogue
Using combinations of plush of different lengths and textures—the delicacy of short plush, the flow of long plush, the liveliness of curly plush—seeking variation within unity. As light sweeps across the wall, it creates subtle rhythms of light and shadow, like wind blowing through a wheat field.
The Poetics of Color: Abandoning the high-saturation colors of traditional toys, a more sophisticated color system is employed—grayish pink, misty blue, oatmeal, and moss green. These low-brightness yet vibrant colors weave together a gentle symphony of color.
Interactive Possibilities: Some areas are designed as movable modules, which viewers can rearrange to create an ever-evolving story on the wall. At night, soft LED lights hidden within some of the toys illuminate, like stars scattered on velvet.
Technological Implementation: When Traditional Craftsmanship Meets Modern Technology
The internal structure utilizes a lightweight yet sturdy frame system, with each plush unit treated for fire and dust resistance. A magnetic connection system allows for easy installation, removal, and cleaning of the modules, while maintaining a visually seamless connection.
